In addition, the new generation of Blue operating system will make a change in the UI and the entire platform. Once the Windows Blue is released, Windows SDK will be updated accordingly, in order to support the new system. Windows application store will stop accepting applications designed for Win8 only, forcing developers to turn to the Windows Blue. However, Windows 8 applications can still run on the new system.

Finally, according to TheVerge, the new OS will not adopt the traditional naming convention of Windows to name it as Windows 9, it will continue to use the Windows 8 name. Microsoft will upgrade its OS once a year o counter pressure from Apple and Google.
