There is some recent change for a built-in tool on Windows 10 where the Snipping Tool is moving. Snipping Tool is a tool on Windows for taking screenshots and editing screenshots taken. But now it's moving to a new tool called Snip & Sketch which has enhanced features.

Now if you try to launch Snipping Tool, you will notice there is a notification telling that the Snipping tool is moving to a new tool called Snip & Sketch.

And you can click Try Snip & Sketch to launch the new tool.

The new tool has a new modern face and it has a clear difference as the old tool where it has a clear instruction on how can take screenshots using the shortcut key Windows + Shift + S.  This is very convenient for taking screenshots especially when trying to take screenshot of dropdowns or tooltips. While in the old tool, the steps of taking dropdown screenshots are different.

Apart from this, another new feature would be the delay of snipping. It allows to snip in 3 seconds or 10 seconds. This means it will start to capture the screenshot after 3 seconds or 10 seconds.

Not sure what's the real usage of this feature as it looks not that useful or necessary. At first glance, it leaves an impression that it supports taking a short video of 3 seconds or 10 seconds which is cool. But unfortunately it isn't.

Other than these, there are no major changes compared to the old Snipping Tool. Go and give a try and test it out. Fellow Windows fans.

uh. you realise that the delay is also in Snipping Tool, right? You cannot justify Microsoft's move to Snip & Sketch. Just admit it. It's a stupid thing. In fact, Snipping Tool has more features, is faster and is the most native thing ever.
