Are apps dead?

Try to refresh your memory, when was the last time you download a new application to your phone or iPad? APPs has captured hundreds of millions of smart phone and tablet users of all ages. The search engine becomes less important since the popularity of apps. But now APPs begin to experience a major bottleneck because the most frequently used apps are just a few. Once you install them, there seems no need to download and install new apps. Are apps dead? Will search engine wake up again?
