Have Apple considered to develop iPad for aerospace use?

Today, I read article about China's Shenzhou 9 Spacecraft which is expected to be launched in middle of June. In this article, it mentions that the Chinese astronauts may bring some mobile devices with them in order for them to relax in such a long journey to outer space. The most probable devices they may bring are some tablets because laptops are too heavy to be placed in spacecraft which has limit space and weight capacity., while smartphones are too small and not so convenient for astronauts to operate. Will they bring iPad with them? The probability is low, since the current iPad is not designed for aerospace use, some hardware components may not fulfill the strict requirements.

I wonder whether Apple considered to develop iPad for aerospace use before. If not, they may spend some time considering about it.  Earth now is almost saturated, there are more and more people and less and less resource on our planet. In order for human beings to survive and evolve, we must protect our sustainable resources and find other resources, one possible way is to go to outer space. Now many governments have spent more and more resource and time on exploring outer space. However, the environment in outer space is very complex, the journey to other planets and space stations is very long and challenging, we have to face pressures both physically and mentally, we have to fight with the loneliness. In such a long journey, how do we handle these pressures? Maybe we can bring some entertainment devices. One good candidate is tablet because of the reason mentioned above. Apple's iPad is now the most popular tablet now, it is light and has abundant applications. But currently iPad is not designed for outer space use. Maybe in the future, if more and more people are going to outer space, either for a vacation or for some exploration activities, they may need an iPad. So Apple may think about it.
