Within 24 hours openning for pre-order, 2 million iPhone 5 have been ordered, Apple announces that sales of iPhone 5 are over 5 million in 3 days on sale., in addition, iOS devices upgraded to iOS6 are around 100 million.
Apple CEO Tim Cook says :
Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible,While we have sold out of our initial supply, stores continue to receive iPhone 5 shipments regularly and customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough iPhone 5s for everyone.
iPhone 5 started to accept pre-order on 14th September, within 24 hours, 2 million iPhone 5 were ordered. It's more than twice of iPhone 4S in its first day. On 21st September, iPhone 5 is on sale in United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and United Kingdom. The second round will starts from 28th September in another 22 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark. It will be on sale in over 100 countries at the end of 2012.
